What is the OmegaZone
Diet?: The OmegaZone™ diet is
deceptively simple; you eat lots of fruits and vegetables and take your
pharmaceutical grade fish oil. However, if you follow Dr. Sears' guidelines, you will be rapidly
orchestrating a highly improved hormonal communication between the brain and
your entire body that moves you toward a state of wellness where the
possibility of developing chronic disease is dramatically reduced!
The OmegaZone™ diet is based on the Zone Diet developed by Dr. Sears. For
detailed information on this fantastic, healthful diet, pick up a copy of

What is the Zone Diet?
Medicine in the 21st century will be focused more on maintaining wellness than
treating disease. However, you first must establish some objective clinical
parameters for wellness. For the first time, the clinical definitions that
describe the boundaries of the Zone provide such a clinical objectiveness. This
gives rise to the concept of evidence-based wellness. If your blood parameters
are within the limits of the Zone, then you are well. If your blood parameters
are not, then you are by definition ill, and you are well on your way to
developing chronic disease. Wellness is defined by improved hormonal
communication and that begins in the brain. The fastest and most efficient way
to reach the Zone is by following the OmegaZone™ Diet. This is why fish oils are
such a critical part of the OmegaZone™ Diet. Without adequate levels, hormonal
communication throughout your body will suffer. The only way to maintain
wellness on a lifetime basis will be by diet and lifestyle changes. Although the
Zone is the same for everyone, there are many pathways to reach it. The
OmegaZone™ diet is simply the easiest and most consistent way to reach the Zone
and stay there on a lifetime basis.
Clinical Definitions of the Zone:
The Zone is not some mystical place. It is defined by very specific blood
parameters that indicate your wellness status. The blood tests that define the
Zone are the ratio of arachidonic acid (AA) to eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), the
levels of fasting insulin, and the ratio of triglycerides (TG) to HDL
cholesterol. These clinical measurements provide an insight into your hormonal
status of those hormones (eicosanoids and insulin) that are affected by your
diet.

These clinical values make wellness evidence-based. Your blood
values ultimately validate that you are in the Zone. The OmegaZone™ diet is the
best way to get there.
